Zuiderpark, Hoogeveen, The Netherlands
Position: 6th; Time: 22:25 (PB!)
Due to there currently being no Z parkrun in the UK, a holiday to The Netherlands in August 2025 is the first entry.
At Zuiderpark parkrun in sunshine / A new 5k PB became mine / Just one second quicker / Than Brooklands last winter / Flat paths in the Netherlands so fine! Gary who finished fifth was a Brit / I could tell from his name and his kit / "Well done, well done!" I said / As his legs passed me sped / But I came sixth and didn't quit! If my wife should come over all keen / Saying "revisit that Hoogeveen" / A trip to its windmill / Would fascinate me still / It was built in 1716!

Mole Valley, Surrey, England
Position: 30th; Time: 24:12 (my fastest this year - haha!)
I met a nice lady at Denbies / But she gave me the heebie-jeebies / For some fun near Box Hill / It once gave her a thrill / To turn dry cow pats into frisbees!

Egham Orbit, Surrey, England
Position: 10th; Time: 23:44
So many rounds at Egham Orbit / You need to be alert and with it / The motorway subway / Kept the drizzle at bay / But I'm still sat in my soggy kit.

Dinton Pastures, Berkshire, England
Position: 360th; Time: 33:21
At Dinton Pastures a big birthday / It was also her milestone day / Fifty years and parkruns / She ran with her loved ones / While the rest of us shouted "hooray!"

N.B. The limerick is not related to the photo! The man in the bright yellow jacket is my Dad. It was neither his birthday nor a milestone run today. We have both amassed the same amount of parkruns, 288 each so far, but he has visited more locations. He introduced me to running when I was a child and to parkrun about ten years ago.
