26 in 26: parkrun A-Z
To celebrate a decade since my first parkrun (2/1/16 at Bracknell), I am marking 10 years of my parkrunning habit by spending 2026 as a Saturday parkrun alphabeteer. 26 (A-Z) different venues in 2026! This adventure will also help to show some solidarity and raise some more funds for Christian Mission to Gaza and Gaza Baptist Church. Perhaps you may be able to give up to £26 (either in a one-off donation or spread over a few payments). Zuiderpark parkrun, Hoogeveen, The Netherlands
Event: 85; Position: 6th (41 finishers); Time: 22:25 (PB!)
Due to there currently being no Z parkrun in the UK, a holiday to The Netherlands in August 2025 is the first entry.

Gary who finished fifth was a Brit / I could tell from his name and his kit

But I came in sixth and didn't quit!
If my wife should come over all keen / Saying "revisit that Hoogeveen"A trip to its windmill / Would fascinate me still
It was built in 1716!
